Addressable Anonymous - A Game Changer for Your Customer Engagement!

We are thrilled to announce the release of Addressable Anonymous, a groundbreaking architectural advancement in our product that redefines how you engage with your customers! This feature empowers your business to connect with users even when you only have partial information, unlocking new levels of personalization and expanding your reach.

Overview
Traditionally, engaging with customers required a complete set of identifiable data. With Addressable Anonymous, you can now seamlessly collect and act on partial user data, such as just a mobile number or email, even before a full profile is established. These users are initially marked as "anonymous" but can be easily merged with existing profiles once primary key becomes available. This major shift ensures you never miss an opportunity to engage valuable leads and customers, whether they interact with you online or offline.

Key Benefits & Use Cases
This feature helps your brand:

  • Expand Campaign Reach: Target users across Email, SMS, WhatsApp, App push, and Web push, even with incomplete profiles.

  • Prevent Data Loss: Capture valuable offline or guest-user data that might otherwise be overlooked.

  • Accelerate Engagement: Initiate campaigns and journeys immediately, without waiting for full user profile information.

  • Enhance Personalization: Ensure accurate profile merging to maintain a unified customer view when full data is acquired.

Here’s how Addressable Anonymous can transform your customer engagement across various industries:

  • Retail: Reconnect with in-store shoppers via mobile, even if their email isn't initially available.

  • E-commerce: Bridge mobile and email systems to recognize and engage customers who log in or checkout with only a mobile number.

  • BFSI: Nurture leads instantly with just an email or mobile, without waiting for full KYC details.

  • D2C / E-commerce: Engage guest checkout or mobile-only users post-purchase or post-visit, identifying those who skipped full registration.

  • Hospitality: Communicate with users who connect via Wi-Fi or register at kiosks using only email.

  • Media / Edtech: Track and retarget visitors who respond to web pop-ups with only an email or mobile.

Data Sources for Anonymous Data
You can now capture anonymous user data from a variety of sources, allowing for flexible and comprehensive data collection:

  • Web JS (Form JS & Web Message): Automatically creates anonymous profiles when only a mobile or email is provided through web messages or FORM.js.

  • SDK (Profile Push & In-App): Collects anonymous user information via profile pushes or interactions with in-app messages on mobile apps.

  • CSV Upload: Seamlessly upload user data with or without primary keys, with automatic matching for overlapping data.

  • Add Contact API: Add anonymous or identified users via single or bulk API calls (Release is planned by the end of November).

  • Cloud Storage: Sync anonymous user data files from platforms like Amazon S3.

  • Activity API: Capture user activity from external systems even without a primary key.

Profile Behavior Summary
Our system intelligently handles anonymous and identified profiles, ensuring data consistency and accuracy:

  • New Anonymous Profile Creation: If only a secondary identifier (like mobile when email is primary key, or vice-versa) is received without a matching primary key, a new anonymous profile is created.

  • Profile Merging: When a primary key (e.g., email, mobile, or Customer ID) is provided later and matches an existing anonymous profile, the profiles are automatically merged, consolidating all historical data (Profile merge release is planned in the month of June).

  • Profile Updates: Existing profiles are updated or overwritten based on the primary key provided.

Impact Areas
This release brings significant enhancements to key areas of your platform:

  • Detailed Reports: New columns for Primary Key (PK), GUID, Email, and Mobile will be available, providing richer insights.

  • Segmentation: You can now include both Identified and Anonymous users in your segments, dramatically increasing your audience reach.

  • Reachability Count: User counts will now encompass both identified and anonymous users, offering a more complete view of your total addressable audience.

We are excited for you to experience the power of Addressable Anonymous and how it will revolutionise your customer engagement strategies!
