If you’ve ever struggled to figure out which campaign actually drove a click, you’ll feel the difference right away. With unified UTM parameter based Google Analytics tracking now live across APN, SMS, WhatsApp, In-App, and Web Messages, every link carries the same UTM tags—so your reports finally tell a clear.
Here’s what gets easier:
UTM tracking support is now added in APN, SMS, WhatsApp, In-App, and Web Messages. It is already supported in other channels such as Email, Web push and RCS broadcast campaigns.
Whatsapp channel node in Journey now also has UTM support.
Email broadcast campaign now has utm_term (besides existing 4 UTM parameters).
Set default UTM values once in Global Advanced Settings for campaigns, journeys, and on-site messages.
Enable GA tracking from the campaign Setup page and adjust UTM values as needed.
Summary reports will also have details of UTM parameters used in given campaign.
